Level 1

The qualification is about working in a retail environment. You will find it appropriate

if you are operating at a basic level in your work role. It will be suitable for you if you

are:

new to the retail sector;

following training programmes; following training

programmes in preparation for work;

leaving school.

 

Level 2

The qualification is about working in a retail environment. You will find it appropriate

if you are; already competent in basic retail skills and require recognition of a wider

range of abilities in retailing; progressing from the Level 1 NVQ in Retail Skills;

wishing to demonstrate competence gained previously in retailing or associated

industries.

 

These are work-related qualifications and to achieve them you will need the opportunity to

demonstrate your competence within your work role. They are open to anyone of all ages,

of either gender and there are no entry barriers on grounds of race, creed or proven

academic attainment or learning. You need no previous qualifications to complete

this NVQ.
