We offer training leading to awards in staff performance assessment. They are suitable for those who have current real work experience proven in a particular area of work and want to be able to train and assess their own NVQ candidates using a wide range of methods, thus contributing to the internal quality assurance procedure. The process is carried out by:

 

• Assessing staff against agreed standards
• Planning and reviewing assessment with staff
• Giving feedback to staff on your assessment decisions

 

Assessor Award
The A2 award is a Level 3 certificate which has been developed by the Employment National Training Organisation. It is appropriate if you want to be involved in observing staff performance and feeding back on your assessment decision. A2 can be obtained as a stand alone award and will serve to enhance supervisory skills as well as contributing to improving the performance of the staff who have been observed.

The A1 award includes the techniques covered by the A2 award and introduces a wider range of assessment methods such as professional discussion and interviews with other people involved with the candidate.

The A1 award will qualify the holder to carry out the whole of the NVQ assessment process on behalf of their organisation.

 

Verifier Award
The V1 award is for orgainsations that want to manage the quality assurance process through their own NVQ programmes.

 

Coaching
OCR Certificate in Coaching Learners in the Workplace. The aim of this qualification is to train and assess the candidate's ability to support, review progress and advise individuals through coaching in the workplace.

Mentoring
OCR Certificate in Mentoring in the Workplace is designed for candidates who want to enable staff learning in the workplace as a mentor.
